Through a militaristic approach, the "Attention" programs are designed to motivate and encourage students, grades 3 - 8, with the life skills to pursue excellence in all areas of concentration. By using this approach, students will understand the value of structure and discipline, and its effectiveness in creating the path to success.
All classes are facilitated by two mentors on a weekly basis. Students begin the program with careful instruction on correct playing techniques. Each week, students are introduced to music specific to respective instruments (hand chimes and piano), learning to read music notation and interpretation. Students will demonstrate the skills they've learned by performing for the all school community during mid-year (holiday) and end of school year programs.
